Marriage refers to the formal union between a man and a woman that occurs through a legal commitment or a religious ceremony that binds them in a covenant with God. It also refers to that joyous day when a woman feels extra beautiful and extra happy. Although you cannot know exactly how a bride feels on her wedding day, you may get an idea from her speech. Here, now, is an example of a wedding speech from bride to groom.

To begin your speech, you may use the following lines: “Ladies and gentlemen, a pleasant evening! While it is not traditional for the bride to speak, I felt that it is only proper and polite for me to have this chance to welcome you all in this celebration and to thank you for being here. And so, I stand here before you with this purpose. Family, relatives, and friends – welcome to our wedding reception! Also, on behalf of my dashing groom, I would like to thank each and every one of you for finding the time to be here and to share in the magic of the moment. Having you with us to help us celebrate what is probably one of the most joyful days of our lives has made this wedding more meaningful and more memorable. We will forever cherish this day that we spent with you all. Once again, thank you.” As you will notice, this part of your speech should be as simple, as warm, and as sincere as possible.

Proceed with your speech saying, “Today is one of the happiest days of my life because today I have found the one person whom I choose to love for the rest of my life. What thrills me even more is that I got to spend this day with family, relatives, and friends – all of whom are important and dear to me. Today, as my fairy tale dream turned into one happy reality, I cannot help but feel that floating sense of joy and secretly wish that the magic will linger on.”

After thanking and welcoming your guests, you may then address your groom with these lines: “And now, I wish to address my husband and thank him for everything he’s done for me. Dear husband, your gift of love has given me so much to hope for and so much to be thankful for. I love you.”

“With that being said, I wish to propose a toast. To me and my groom!”
